    Cylinder Mould Paper Machine

In a cylinder mould paper machine, a cylindrical mould covered with metal or plastic wire rotates in a tank to form a wet paper sheet through differences in water pressure. The machine has a simple design and is effective for producing thin paper. The fibers are aligned with the cylinder’s rotation, resulting in significantly higher tensile strength compared to the cross direction. However, the dispersibility of the paper stock is relatively low.

    Short-Wire Paper Machine

The wire length in a short-wire paper machine is less than 12 meters, and its headbox is positioned opposite to that of a standard Fourdrinier machine. Compared to a cylinder mould paper machine, a short-wire paper machine offers better dispersibility of paper stock and a smaller difference in tensile strength between the machine direction and the cross direction. By combining cylinder mould and short-wire machines, we can produce multilayer paper. This approach also allows for the use of different fibers in each layer, enabling the creation of paper with a variety of combinations.
